Napkin Sizes, Fabrics and Colours

WHAT YOU GET

Sizes and fabrics

We hire two sizes: 20in x 20in for casual covers and 22in x 22in for full tablecloth service. Fabrics are  100% cotton / 50-50 polycotton / 100% polyester. Cotton presses sharper and looks the part on a dressed table; polycotton takes more washes before it retires. Tell us how hard your tables turn and we'll point you at the right one.

Colours Colours in stock

Most dining rooms stay with white because we can bleach a stain out rather than hide it, so every napkin looks the same age. If your room runs dark, ask what we hold before you settle on it. Matching to your tables costs nothing while we're quoting.

WHO USES IT

Who Hires Cloth Napkins From Us

Restaurants

If you're running 60 to 200 covers a night, you're our typical napkin account. Most restaurants put napkins and kitchen cloths on one weekly drop, so it's one delivery and one invoice to check.

Bars and cafes

Bars and cafes Serving food at the bar? You'll get through fewer napkins a week, and that's fine. There's no small-order penalty when the van already comes past your door.

Commercial Kitchens

Contract caterers and production kitchens take restaurant napkin hire for the front-of-house side while we handle their kitchen cloths too. One account covers both, so nobody's chasing two suppliers.

THE CYCLE

Table linen hire Salford restaurant fine dining service

How Napkin Hire Works

01

We deliver your stock

You tell us sizes, colours and rough weekly numbers when we quote. Your opening stock lands on the next run through your area, counted and ready for service.

02

You use it, we collect it

Used napkins go straight in the bag we leave you. On your set day the driver takes the full bag and drops the same count back, clean and pressed. No sorting, no washing, no drying racks in the back.

03

We launder and return

Everything's washed at our own Golborne plant, not handed to a third party. We pull anything past its best and replace it from our stock, so what comes back to you is always fit for the table.

Why ProLinen for Napkin Hire

THE DIFFERENCE

No Missed Collections — Same Day, Every Week

The most common reason restaurants switch linen suppliers is simple: missed collections. One missed run means dirty linen piling up, covers you can't lay, and a phone call that goes to voicemail. ProLinen runs fixed weekly routes across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, and Warrington — booked in, scheduled, and done. The same day every week, without exception. If your collection is Wednesday, it happens on Wednesday.

No Lock-In — Scale Up or Down Any Week

North West hospitality has real seasonal swings. Christmas dining runs from November through January. Summer terraces add covers. January is quiet. ProLinen's rolling contracts let you adjust weekly quantities with a phone call — no minimum term, no penalty for scaling back in a slow period. You pay for what you actually need, not a fixed contract that ignores how your business actually works.

No Capital Outlay — We Own the Stock

Buying a full linen par stock before you open — or after you expand covers — is a significant upfront cost. With ProLinen, you don't buy anything. We own the linen, we replace worn items, and we manage the stock level. You pay for what you use each week. No purchase cost, no replacement budget, no linen going missing from your inventory.

EHO-Compliant Laundering — Documented

Environmental Health Officers inspect linen hygiene practices in restaurants and commercial kitchens — and the scrutiny is increasing. ProLinen launders everything at commercial temperatures in its own facility, with the process documented and available in writing. When an inspector asks about your linen supply chain, you'll have the paperwork ready. Nothing is passed to a third-party laundry — the process is controlled start to finish.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT NAPKIN SIZES CAN WE HIRE IN THE NORTH WEST? You can hire two sizes across the North West: 20in x 20in and 22in x 22in. The smaller one suits cafes and casual tables; the larger is what you want under a tablecloth setting. Not sure which fits your covers? Tell us your table size on the call and we'll send samples before you commit.

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER FOR NAPKIN HIRE? There's a minimum weekly quantity, but we agree it on the quote rather than print it on a rate card. It comes down to whether our van already passes your street in Greater Manchester or Cheshire. Small bars on an existing route get terms a national supplier won't touch, so just ask.

WHAT HAPPENS IF NAPKINS COME BACK STAINED OR DAMAGED? Wine, grease and lipstick are our problem, not yours, and normal service staining is part of the deal. Anything torn past repair we pull at our Golborne plant and replace from our own stock. You only pay if something's lost or misused, like a napkin used to grab a hot pan, at a set per-item rate.

HOW LONG IS THE CONTRACT AND WHAT NOTICE DO WE GIVE? Every napkin hire agreement rolls on with no minimum term. You can push your weekly numbers up for December and pull them back in January as trade shifts, and you cancel with a short notice period we put in writing. We hold onto North West accounts by turning up, not by tying you in.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU DELIVER AND HOW FAST CAN WE START? We deliver weekly on a fixed day for your area, with washing turned around in 48 hours. New accounts across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire are usually up and running within 5 to 7 working days of agreeing numbers. If another supplier's just dropped you mid-week, call anyway — we can sometimes move quicker.

ARE YOUR NAPKINS LAUNDERED TO EHO STANDARDS? Yes. Everything's washed at commercial temperatures at our own Golborne facility, and we log the process. You get written confirmation of wash temperatures and procedure for your EHO file as standard. More North West inspectors now ask exactly where your linen is washed, so it's worth having on hand before they do.
